Today is World Kindness Day and this year’s theme is Kindness : A Global Movement, which highlights the collective power of kindness and encourages everyone to participate in spreading goodwill.
With this in mind, Neighbourhood Watch Scotland would like to say a big thank you to everyone who extends hands of neighbourliness and thoughtfulness to family, friends, neighbours and strangers alike.
In the lead up to Christmas, we are aware that this time of year is not joyous for everyone, but we also know that even the smallest act of kindness has the potential to make a huge impact.
Gestures such as being a friend to a lonely neighbour, cooking a meal for someone who is struggling, donating blood, or simply listening to someone who needs to be heard, are just a few of the acts of kindness that can have lasting, positive effects.
At Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, we are fortunate enough to hear about many random acts of kindness that so many of you have instigated, so from all of us, to all of you, have a wonderful day and may it be filled with kindness.
