As part of our work to prevent consumers being affected by doorstep crime, the TSS awareness raising van will be in the Scottish Borders the week commencing Monday 30 September. Officers from the Scottish Borders Trading Standards team will be out with the van to offer preventative advice, hints, and tips so pop along to say hello! To support this, the BBC’s early evening magazine programme ‘the one show’ wants to hear from you if you’ve had experience of a rogue doorstep tradesperson or scammer. The Scam Van will be at the following locations from 10am to 1pm.
Wednesday 2 October – Mayfield Garden Centre, Kelso
Thursday 3 October – Tesco, Galashiels
Friday 4 October – Heart of Hawick.
