Safer Neighbourhoods Stronger Communities

Travellers tales….. Waverley

Today, and for the second time this Christmas, we set up our stall at Waverley Railway Station, and teamed up with colleagues with other partner organisations. The place was looking very festive!

Colleagues from British Transport Police East Scotland, Officers from Police Scotland Preventions, Interventions and Partnerships, and Business Crime Prevention Unit, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Trading Standards Scotland and Edinburgh Council Trading Standards provided helpful information and advice to commuters and staff on various topics, including home, vehicle security, scams and Fire Safety.

The station has a great tree!

Our message was displayed on the information board above the station concourse!

Police Scotland Business Crime Prevention Unit also engaged with retailers to provide crime prevention and safety advice.

It was great to see so many partners coming together to take part in this extremely worthwhile event.

Thank you to Network Rail for allowing us to hold the event, all the partners, and to everyone who stopped to speak to us.

For those of you who don’t keep up with Christmas, there’s only eleven shopping days to go!
