Today Neighbourhood Watch Scotland (NWS) joined partners for Day 2 of the Stay Safe – Get on Board Anti-Fraud Roadshow

Neighbourhood Watch Scotland (NWS) joined partners from British Transport Police, Police Scotland, ScotRail and Network Rail for Day 2 of the Stay Safe – Get on Board Anti-Fraud Roadshow, travelling between Edinburgh Waverley and Tweedbank Train Stations, with Police offering advice on a variety of topics, including fraud, to passengers at Edinburgh Train Station and Galashiels Interchange.
British Transport Police also highlighted the text service 61016 and promoted the, Railway Guardian App, which allows you to report crimes or concerns on the rail network, as well as providing access to news, guides, or supports. Download the App for free https://www.btp.police.uk/…/Download-Railway-Guardian/

During the day North East Crime Reduction Officers and partners also engaged with passengers travelling between Aberdeen and Inverness providing advice on fraud or what to do if they have been a victim of fraud.
Over the two days Police and partners engaged with over 1,000 passengers between Inverness and Tweedbank.
A huge thank you to ScotRail, and Network Rail for their assistance and to everyone who we spoke to during the initiative.
