Safer Neighbourhoods Stronger Communities

Bathgate Retail Day of Action

Bathgate Precinct saw our chair, Stewart Prodger and NWS staff join colleagues from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and others for a Festive Initiative. We were also very pleased to meet a certain local singing sensation!

With Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Retailers Against Crime Scotland, “Change. Grow. Live”, West Lothian Council, Safer Neighbourhood Team, the Anti-Poverty Team, West Lothian Youth Action Project, Scotmid Security and Bathgate Street Pastors we “starred” in a show in Bathgate this week.

We spoke to a large number of shoppers from the local community and visitors to the area, promoting Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and highlighting the benefits of getting involved, whilst colleagues provided information and advice on a range of topics, including crime prevention and personal safety.

A huge thanks to everyone for stopping to engage with us despite the very cold weather, making it an excellent and worthwhile day and special thanks to Susan Boyle for checking in with us.

These events are part of our Festive Campaign that sees us at venues across Scotland including Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street and Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh.

To hear more about Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and receive helpful information and advice from our partners from Police Scotland come along to any of these events.
