BHS Scotland/SPARC Equine Road Safety Evening
We had a brilliant time yesterday at West Kype Farm for the Equine Road Safety Evening, where we joined our partners from:
• The British Horse Society Scotland (BHS Scotland)
• Scottish PARC
• Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
Together, we shared valuable advice and information on:
• Keeping horses safe on the road and in transit
• Vehicle and equipment security
• General equine safety and awareness
• The Neighbourhood Watch Scotland free Neighbourhood Alert system and Rural Watch.
Please remember to download the BHS Horse i app and record those incidents. Recording incidents can really make a difference

The stars of the night were the wonderful demo horses and riders, who showcased some excellent training exercises—thank you for such an engaging and educational display!
A huge thank you to West Kype Riders Club for hosting the event, and to BHS Scotland and SPARC for organising such a well-attended and informative evening. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and so many passionate members of the equine community.
Thank you to everyone who came along—we loved meeting you!
Together, we’re building safer, more connected communities.
