Neighbourhood Watch Scotland had a great day at the BT Digital Voice drop-in event at Central Library, Aberdeen speaking with local residents about what the digital switchover means and how it may affect them. A special thank you to the officers from Home – Police Scotland North East Division who joined us and helped support residents with information and advice.
It was fantastic to have so many positive and meaningful conversations, answer questions, and offer reassurance and practical guidance in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Our team also spent time out and about in the surrounding area, delivering BT Digital Voice and Neighbourhood Watch Scotland leaflets to help keep residents informed and prepared for the changes ahead.
En route to the event, we stopped off at The Little Food Shack at The Old Exchange, Moncur Road, Inchture, Perth. What a fantastic local family-run coffee shop and bakery. We received a lovely welcome, enjoyed some delicious coffee, and were delighted to support such a great local business along the way.
A big thank you to the staff at Aberdeen Central Library for hosting us and for all their support before and during the event. Thank you as well to everyone who took the time to stop by and chat with us. It was great to meet so many local residents.
Important reminder: BT, EE and Plusnet customers will be moved to Digital Voice by January 2027. The old analogue phone network is being switched off and replaced with digital landlines that work using broadband. Please follow any guidance from your provider and take action when contacted to help avoid disruption to your service.
