Connecting with Communities at Edinburgh Waverley

We had a fantastic day at Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, working alongside colleagues from Scotland | British Transport Police, Home – Police Scotland Edinburgh Intervention, Partnerships and Community Policing Teams, and Crimestoppers in Scotland | Crimestoppers to speak with commuters, answer questions, and share community safety advice.

It was great to speak to people from across Scotland and beyond, answer questions, and share information about the benefits of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, local Neighbourhood Watches, and Neighbourhood Alert. We also spoke with someone keen to learn more about the Digital Voice switchover and what it means for them.

A huge thank you to Network Rail, our partner organisations, and everyone who stopped by to chat and learn more about keeping communities connected, informed, and safe.

📱 Did you know? If you see something that doesn’t look right on the rail network, you can discreetly text British Transport Police on 61016. In an emergency, call 999.

Together, by staying informed, looking out for one another, and reporting concerns, we can help make our communities and transport networks safer for everyone. 🚉🤝
