To celebrate National Pet Day, the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland team shared photos of our own much‑loved pets via Neighbourhood Alert and invited Alert users to join in by sharing theirs too. The response was pawsitively brilliant 🐾, and we were delighted to receive wonderful photos of some truly adorable companions!
It was a real joy to see the pets that bring comfort, laughter, and everyday happiness to people across our communities. Here are just a few of the stars who stole the show:
🐱 Mitzi
This beautiful Maine Coon looks every bit the majestic queen of the house a total showstopper with personality to match her impressive fluff.
🐶 Susie
Gorgeous Susie turned on the charm with her stunning coat and soulful expression clearly a natural in front of the camera!
🐱 Keiki
Meet Keiki the Ragdoll, caught mid‑birdwatch in the Highlands. Known for her legendary patience, she was keeping a close (and very focused) eye on a couple of birds perched high in the trees.
🐕 Hudson
Handsome Hudson, a senior Patterdale Terrier gent, has enjoyed a wonderful life since being rehomed as a young dog a heart‑warming reminder of the joy rescue pets bring.
🐕 Bruce
And finally, there’s Bruce, a striking red Spanador, also living his very best life after being rehomed as a youngster. Proof that second chances really are something special.
Thank you to everyone who shared photos and helped us celebrate National Pet Day. Moments like these show just how strong our communities are not just between neighbours, but with the pets who are so often part of the family too 🐾 🤝
