Safer Neighbourhoods Stronger Communities

Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh – Community Safety Event

The Neighbourhood Watch Scotland team were back at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh today and had the pleasure of listening to a local choir who were singing Christmas carols inside the hospital.

We were joined by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service who provided advice on several aspects of fire safety, including smoke alarms and also by City of Edinburgh Council staff who spoke about Lightning Reach, which is a free online portal that helps you find and apply for different types of financial support in one place, quickly and safely.
Several people expressed an interest in starting up new Neighbourhood Watches in their area, feeling it would help with both personal and community safety, especially during the dark, winter months.
Many thanks to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for hosting us.
