Safer Neighbourhoods Stronger Communities

Knife Angel Campaign Partnership Event – Perth

Neighbourhood Watch Scotland had a fantastic day in Perth on Tuesday 10th December, where they joined Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Crimestoppers and Perth & Kinross Council's Community Safety Team as part of the Knife Angel Campaign.

Over 100,000 knives, all gathered during amnesty, were used to build the statue and it serves as a stark reminder of the heartbreak and distress caused by carrying and using weapons.
We spoke with lots of members of the public including Jane, a wonderful lady in her 90’s (she doesn’t mind us saying!) who was braving the cold to do some shopping. Many people were interested to hear more about our free Neighbourhood Alert information system and some asked for advice on setting up new Neighbourhood Watches in their area.
