About 9 News 9 Bonfire Night – Firework Safety

Fireworks can be fun for many people, however please spare a thought for animals, including family pets who can be startled by the loud bangs, bright colours and smells during this period causing distress, anxiety, and potential injury.

Here is Bruce a wonderful animal friend who finds this an anxious time. Please help keep him and his furry friends safe and settled this bonfire night.

The safest way to enjoy Fireworks is at an organised display. Find out if there are events taking place in your local area here: bit.ly/fireworkevents2024
