Good afternoon, this Alert message is coming to you as you have highlighted an interest in water safety and it includes Water Safety Scotland’s advice on how to stay safe around frozen bodies of water. Also highlighted are the dangers of alcohol use around water.
As temperatures drop throughout Scotland during the winter months, ice can present many dangers making it even more important to stay safe around frozen bodies of water. And sadly, every year in Scotland, several accidental water related fatalities include the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Water safety Scotland’s advice is to never use drugs or alcohol when in or around water
