THEFT OF QUAD BIKE, CATTLE TRAILER AND VOLVO

There have been a number of thefts which have been reported overnight (early hours of 25/09/2026) where a quad bike, a cattle trailer and a Volvo motor car have been stolen from farms and properties in the area of Gelston/Kelton

Incident Number : PS-20260925-0421

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a red Honda 420 quad bike with a distinctive front visor, from a farm near to Kelton, Castle Douglas. The quad bike was stolen between 0000 and 0420 on Friday 25th September 2026.

Incident Number : PS-20260925-0428

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a Ifor Williams cattle trailer, from a farm near Gelston. The quad bike was stolen about 0320 on Friday 25th September 2026.

Incident Number : PS-20260925-0561

Police are appealing for information following the theft of sky blue Volvo V60 motor car, from a property near to Kelton, Castle Douglas. The motor car was stolen about between 0000 and 0700 on Friday 25th September 2026.

All of these incidents are believed to be linked and information obtained so far suggests that a black Volkswagen estate and a white ford transit van were operating in convoy to commit these thefts.
