About 9 Alert 9 Don’t Make Theft Easy!

Hello Everyone,

As the warm weather hits please be mindful of leaving doors and windows open, especially in unattended rooms, even for a short while.

Many thefts are opportunistic with criminals quick to take advantage of an open door or window to steal a bag, purse, phone or keys.

Window restrictors are a good option and sensor alarms are also available that detect movement within set areas.

Similarly don’t leave vehicle windows open if unattended, even if parked on your drive way.

Don’t make theft easy for criminals!

If you see anyone acting suspiciously near to your premises please contact the police immediately with as detailed a description as possible of any person or vehicle involved.

Please call 999 if an emergency and urgent police assistance is required or 101 to report the matter to the police.

For further advice contact please contact – Edinburghpreventandintervent@scotland.police.uk

Thank you
