About 9 Alert 9 Cyber Byte July 2025 Investment and Pension scams

Hello,

I hope you have been managing to enjoy the great spell of weather we have experienced recently, long may it continue.

I thought I would take the opportunity to raise awareness of investment and pension scams in this month’s Cyber Byte. These scammers don’t take holidays!!

These scam types are increasing in number and complexity. They can be targeted at an individual an organisation, anyone really. It is therefore vitally important to share prevention awareness on these attacks. Awareness is key and, having the confidence to deal with these is also a vital component in keeping yourself safe and guarded from falling victim to these scams.

I have been lucky enough to have permission share guidance from ‘Which’ and also the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). These organisations are very focused on supporting the public with cybercrime harm prevention guidance and I have shared links to their guidance within the Cyber Byte.

As usual, please feel free to share this with your own family, friends, and other contacts.

Please find the Cyber Byte attachment below this body of text.

Kind regards,

Gordy.
