INTRODUCTION

There were 13 incidents of criminality recorded in July 2025.
PRIORITIES
ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
There were 3 recorded incidents of anti-social behaviour in the area over the last month. They were as follows –
On 6th July 2025 at The Wynd, Alva, a male was found to have failed to comply with his bail conditions. He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for this offence.
On 11th July 2025 at Queen Street and The Wynd, Alva, a male was arrested for threatening behaviour, vandalism and resisting officers. He was held in custody and is now remanded in custody.
On 19th July 2025 at Craighorn Road, Alva, a domestic incident occurred during which a female was the victim of threatening or abusive behaviour. The male responsible was arrested and appeared at court from custody.
VANDALISM
There were 2 recorded incidents of vandalism in the area over the last month. They were as follows –
On 12th July 2025 at Stirling Street, Alva, a door was intentionally damaged. Enquiries have been carried out but not suspect has been identified.
Between 25th and 28th July 2025 at Alva Glen, Alva, a sculpture and woodland furniture were intentionally damaged. Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.
VIOLENCE
There were 2 recorded incidents of violence in the area over the last month. They were as follows –
Between April and July 2025 at Queen Street, Alva, a series of domestic incidents occurred. The male responsible was arrested and will appear at court at a later date for multiple domestic assaults and another offence.
On 16th July 2025 at James Street, Alva, a domestic incident occurred during which, a female was the victim of a minor assault. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspect.
ACQUISITIVE CRIME
There were 3 recorded incidents of acquisitive crime in the area over the last month. It was as follows –
On 2nd July 2025 at Greenhead, Alva, a resident was the victim of a financial fraud. Enquiry has been carried out, but no suspect has been identified.
On 4th July 2025 at Dalmore Drive, Alva, a resident was the victim of a transactional fraud. Enquiry has been carried out, but no suspect has been identified.
On 14th July 2025 at Dalmore Drive, Alva, a tenant was the victim of an online fraud. A suspect has been identified, and efforts are ongoing to trace him.
ROAD TRAFFIC
There were 3 recorded incidents of road traffic offending in the area over the last month. They were as follows –
On 5th July 2025 at West Stirling Street, Alva, a driver was found to be driving without valid policy of insurance. The driver was issued a conditional offer of fixed penalty.
On 5th July 2025 at Caroline Crescent, Alva, a driver was found to be driving a vehicle without insurance or an MOT and in a dangerous condition. The driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for the aforementioned offences.
Overnight from 30th to 31st July 2025 at Cleuch Drive, Alva, a driver who was involved in a road traffic collision, failed to stop or report the incident. Enquiries were carried out, but the driver has not been identified.
It should be noted that other traffic offences are routinely detected and dealt with by police without the need for them to be recorded.
INCIDENTS OF NOTE
Youths continue to gather in the lower section of Alva Glen, some of whom are believed to be responsible for the recent vandalisms, fire raising and consumption of alcohol, drugs and compressed gas.
Police are carrying out additional patrols to address this concerning behaviour.
ANY OTHER COMMUNITY ISSUES
The Clackmannanshire Community Team will continue to target local drug dealers utilising intelligence received from the community. This intelligence is essential to enable officers to act against those involved and we encourage any information to be passed to the police or via Crimestoppers.
Enforcement of parking restrictions will continue to be carried out so please park safely with consideration for others and abide by the local restrictions.
