Community Officers – Out and About
![]() |
Perth Community Officers recently met with the P6/P7 Youth Group at North Muirton Community centre. They enjoyed indoor volleyball, a boom box and pizza and drew a great picture!
On Thursday 30th January, Constables Straiton and Campbell attended Inchture Nursery and spoke with the children. Amy and Gary were very impressed with the questions the children asked about being a Police Officer. The children had also gone to the effort of building their own police station.
On Thursday 30th January 2025, Kinross Community Officers PCs Duncan and Samson visited Bridge of Earn Brownies to speak about our role as Police Officers as part of their “jobs” badge. They asked lots of interesting questions and tried on some Police uniform.

Bertha Park – New Driver Scheme
In partnership with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police officers from the Tayside Road Policing Unit, along with Pitlochry Community Policing Team delivered ‘New Driver Scheme’ to S6 pupils at Bertha Park. The scheme, which takes the form of an interactive input by officers, intends to positively engage with young drivers at a critical period of their driving journey to provide the correct narrative in relation to speeding and anti- social behaviour traits on Scottish roads.
The input provides key safety messaging, which is reinforced through a hard-hitting case study, the scheme provides a space for discussion and change perceptions at the most appropriate time – at the period when young drivers are first going on public roads
