E-Scooters

About 9 Alert 9 E-Scooters

Dear {FIRST_NAME}

On 8th April 2025, an E-Scooter was seized within the Whitburn area and the rider was charged with a number of Road Traffic Offences.  He had previously been warned about his behaviour, but did not take heed.

It would appear than many people who have purchased E-Scooters do not know that they are treated in the same way as motor vehicles and therefore, the same laws that apply to motor vehicles apply to E-Scooters.

We do appreciate that not all people who have purchased and are riding E-Scooters are doing so in an Anti Social manner, however we receive a number of complaints to the contrary on a regular basis.
