SEVEN DEAD SHEEP FOUND – APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Police Scotland received a report on 28/01/25 of 7 deceased sheep within a field near to Caradale Golf Club, Argyll.

The sheep had been seen in the field the previous day all in healthy condition.

Local officers have attended and noted that the 7 dead sheep, all ewes, had no visible physical injuries but looked like that they been chased with detritus from bushes found in their fleece suggesting they may have been chased. At this time, it is thought they have been chased by an animal, possibly a dog, and have died from the stress.

Local officers are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed this incident or have any further information pertaining to it to call 101 quoting incident number 0793 28/01/25. Alternatively, you can call anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800555111.
