What is Neighbourhood Alert?
Stay connected and informed with Neighbourhood Alert – a free community messaging service used by Police Scotland.
Police Scotland is responsible for policing across the whole of Scotland with a unique range of urban, rural, island and remote communities.
Police Scotland is working in partnership with Neighbourhood Watch to deliver Neighbourhood Alerts across the country.
Neighbourhood Alert is a free messaging system that helps us keep you informed about policing matters in your area. Once you have registered for Neighbourhood Alert you will begin to receive alerts relevant to your geographical location, directly from your local community police officers.
How do I sign up to receive Alert messages?
To register please complete the sign-up form and follow the steps prompted.
How much does it cost?
The system is completely free to all users.
Your community team
Every area of Scotland has a community policing team. You can talk to them about:
- issues affecting your neighbourhood
- non-emergencies
- local patrols
- crime prevention advice
- how we work with other local services
- support you can get after an incident
Find your local community policing team on the Police Scotland website.
Your Police survey
We recognise the importance of understanding the views and priorities of Scotland's diverse communities.
This survey is a way for us to listen to the needs of our diverse communities. Let us know what we’re getting right and what we can do better. Complete the Your Police survey here.
Please contact us if you require the survey in an alternative format: InsightEngagement@scotland.pnn.police.uk
