With the busy Christmas shopping period fast approaching, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team is working closely with staff and security teams at Next, Eclipse Park, Maidstone to help prevent shoplifting and retail crime.

Over the coming weeks, shoppers may notice an increased police presence in and around the store, including:

✅ High-visibility patrols
✅ Plain-clothed operations
✅ Joint working with store security staff
✅ Targeted patrols during peak shopping times

Our aim is to deter offenders, identify those involved in retail crime, and ensure that customers and staff can enjoy a safe and positive shopping experience during the festive period.

Shoplifting has a significant impact on businesses, staff and the wider community. By working together with retailers, we are committed to tackling offending and holding those responsible to account.

If you witness any suspicious activity or have information relating to retail crime, please report it to Kent Police via our website or by calling 101. In an emergency, always call 999.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our local shopping areas safe this Christmas.
