Safer Neighbourhoods Stronger Communities

Whitelee Community Day – Whitelee Windfarm

On Sunday 9th June, Keith, Lynne, Louis, and Michele were at Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre Community Day, along with various colleagues, including Police Scotland for the final day of Volunteers’ Week and what a way to finish.

The sun was out, and although a bit cold at times it didn’t stop the large number of people attending with adults and children enjoying the many activities available. It was fantastic to see how enthusiastic and engaging everyone was.
It was a great chance to speak to people attending and find out what was happening in their communities, and let them know more about Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, how to get involved, along with the benefits of being part of a Neighbourhood Watch and how to sign up to receive Neighbourhood Alerts.
We wish to say a huge thanks to ScottishPower Renewables and staff at Whitelee Windfarm for allowing us to attend, and warm welcome and help on the day, and to everyone who stopped and spoke to us, we had some great conversations, and it was good to see the interest in Neighbourhood Watch Schemes, and Neighbourhood Alert.
