We had an amazing time yesterday alongside our colleagues from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), and we were very lucky with the weather too!
It was wonderful to speak with so many people throughout the day from students studying in Edinburgh and local residents to families from across the city and beyond, as well as visitors all the way from the United States
We were especially delighted that a couple of people stopped by specifically to find out how to set up a Neighbourhood Watch in their local areas in Edinburgh a fantastic step towards building stronger, safer communities
There was also great interest in our FREE Neighbourhood Alert system, with several people signing up on the day to receive trusted updates from organisations such as Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, Police Scotland and SFRS
It was also lovely to meet Dug the West Highland Terrier
and his owner, as well as the wonderful members of Barclay Viewforth Church who were spreading positivity by offering free hugs — what a brilliant atmosphere!
A huge thank you to Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for inviting us along it was great to team up with you. And a special mention to the volunteer coordinator, who travelled specially to speak with us it was a pleasure to meet you and provide support
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat it was great to meet you all.
