Scottish Special Constables Training Conference

We had a fantastic day yesterday at the Scottish Special Constables Training Conference. Thank you to Police Scotland for inviting us along. It was a great opportunity to speak to some of the wonderful volunteer officers who give up their time to help their communities. During the day we also spoke to a number of fabulous people from organisations who help and support communities, such as Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, Perth Street Pastors, White Ribbon Scotland, and Canine Concern Scotland Trust.

If you have been thinking about how you can make a difference in your community and be part of a group working together to help connect communities, please go to the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland Website: www.neighbourhoodwatchscotland.co.uk where you can find more information on Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, how to join or start a Neighbourhood Watch or receive Neighbourhood Alerts.

If you are interested in becoming a Special Constable. The Special Constabulary is a part-time, volunteer body consisting of voluntary officers. As a special constable, you’ll work alongside our police officers in your spare time – forging strong partnerships in the community, patrolling our streets, preventing crime, and interacting with all kinds of people to give back, keep your local community safe and help to make a real difference.
