Neighbourhood Watch Scotland was delighted to spend the day at Harlaw Reservoir, working alongside partners including Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, Pentland Hills Rangers, Pentland Hills Ranger Volunteers, and Scottish Water Rangers to raise awareness of wildfire prevention and water safety.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Pentland Hills, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with walkers, cyclists, families, young people and visitors enjoying the outdoors. Throughout the day, we shared information about Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and Neighbourhood Alert, highlighting how communities can stay informed, connected and resilient.
We were encouraged by the people who stopped to chat, ask questions and learn more about the simple actions that can help keep themselves, others and the environment safe. The interest and support shown throughout the day demonstrated the importance of partnership working and community engagement in promoting safety across Scotland.
