The Neighbourhood Watch Scotland team joined colleagues from Police Scotland, South Ayrshire Council Trading Standards, and a host of brilliant community organisations including Ayrshire Cancer Support, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, and Ageing Well at the OiR Ayr Welcome Day.
With Scottish Country Dancing, Tai Chi, board games and more it was a vibrant and welcoming day full of connection and community spirit.
We loved chatting with many of the people attending to find out more about them, as well as what brought them to the event, including a wonderful couple from the local area. It was a great opportunity to let people know about Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, the benefits of getting involved, and how Neighbourhood Alerts help keep communities informed and connected.
It was also a pleasure to meet Siobhian Brown, Minister for Victims and Community Safety, who opened the event and showed great interest in our current work and future plans.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, to one of our wonderful board members who despite a busy schedule came along to support the team and to the OiR Ayr team for organising such a brilliant day and making us feel so welcome!
