The event brought together a wide range of organisations and community partners, creating a fantastic day out for local families and visitors. With sunshine throughout the day and plenty of activities on offer, the event provided an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to learn more about the services and support available within their communities.

Visitors enjoyed free bicycle marking provided by Police Scotland, while police horses and quad bikes proved particularly popular with children and adults alike. The day also featured a variety of partner organisations showcasing their work, including:

Alongside these organisations were Heritage Tractors, Bryson Tractors Ltd and many other groups engaging with visitors and highlighting the valuable work they undertake across Lanarkshire and beyond.

Our Neighbourhood Watch Scotland stand was busy throughout the day, with many people stopping to find out more about Neighbourhood Watch and Neighbourhood Alert. It was encouraging to see such strong interest in community safety and in the ways local residents can work together to help make their neighbourhoods safer, stronger and more connected.

We were also pleased to meet members of the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV), whose enthusiasm and commitment to supporting their communities was inspiring. The event also provided an opportunity to meet Tegi, a special dog who has found his forever home—a wonderful reminder of the positive impact community organisations can have on people’s lives.

It was a pleasure to welcome Clare Adamson MSP for Motherwell and Wishaw, who visited our stand to learn more about the work of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and show her support for community-based crime prevention initiatives.

We would like to thank Police Scotland in organising such a successful event. Days like these demonstrate the value of partnership working and provide an excellent opportunity for communities to come together, engage with local services and learn more about staying safe.
