Keep Pets Safe and Calm this Bonfire Night

Keep Pets Safe and Calm this Bonfire Night 🎆🐾

Fireworks can be fun for many, but they can be frightening for animals—including our beloved pets. Loud bangs, flashing lights, and unfamiliar smells may cause distress, anxiety, or even injury.

Let’s make Bonfire Night less stressful for pets like Harris and all his animal friends.

🎇Attend an organised display, it is the safest way to enjoy fireworks. Find local events via: https://www.firescotland.gov.uk/…/organised-firework…/

🐶 Support your pet through firework season visit: https://www.scottishspca.org/fireworks/ for expert tips from the Scottish SPCA animal behaviourist Claire Haynes.

💡Some Quick Tips to Help Your Pet
• Keep your pets inside after dark – Walk or let your pets out
earlier in the day so you don’t risk being caught off guard
• Close all windows and doors, and have music playing or the
  TV to muffle the noise
• Create a safe, quiet space for them to retreat to

💙 Let’s work together to make this season safer and more comfortable for our animal companions.
