The Neighbourhood Watch Scotland team had a fantastic day at the Community Support event organised by Home Energy Scotland and the Anti-Poverty Task Force, in Perth’s Civic Hall today. There were 24 organisations present, all discussing what they are doing to help support those living in the area, including Trading Standards Scotland, Community Alcohol Partnership, Facial Palsy UK, Alzheimer Scotland and Barclays Bank.
Several people signed up to our free Neighbourhood Alert information system, ensuring they are kept up-to-date with what’s happening where they live, safe in the knowledge that information is only sent from trusted providers: Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the local authority. And others expressed an interest in setting up a watch in their area.
Many thanks to the organisers for having us along today. It was great to see so many people working hard to keep communities safe and connected.
