Community Safety event - University Hospital Wishaw

Neighbourhood Watch Scotland (NWS) staff joined Police Scotland Lanarkshire Preventions officers and Aura, an inclusive domestic support service in North Lanarkshire, for a Community Safety event at University Hospital Wishaw as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Key highlights included:

  • Encouraging people to join or start a Neighbourhood Watch
  • Promoting free sign-up to Neighbourhood Alerts
  • Sharing advice on personal safety and scams
  • Raising awareness of the Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS) remember, you have the right to ask.

Huge thanks to the University Hospital Wishaw staff for their support and hospitality, and all visitors who engaged with us. It was inspiring to hear from existing Neighbourhood Watch members and welcome new sign-ups.
