The team were at a Community Safety event at the Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh today, along with partners from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, CrimeStoppers and Advice Direct Scotland.
We had the opportunity to speak with members of the public about how to start up a new Watch and our partners discussed a variety of topics regarding crime prevention, fire safety, fraud and scams and consumer advice.
We were lucky enough to be joined by 3 of our Watch coordinators who stopped by to say hello and share information about some of the amazing work being done in their communities.
We also had lots of discussion regarding the free Neighbourhood Alert information system and we shared information about the BT digital voice changeover and how those people in our communities who are using Telecare alarms, should ensure their alarms are compatible with the new digital technology.
