A Fantastic Day at the Abertay cyberQuarter

We had a fantastic time today at the free drop‑in cyber clinic held at the Abertay cyberQuarter. It was a great opportunity to speak with staff, students, and members of the public about online safety, fraud awareness, and the simple steps everyone can take to stay secure.

As part of the event, we were also able to share information about Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and the benefits of signing up for our free Neighbourhood Alert service. Alerts help keep communities informed with trusted, timely updates on scams, cyber threats, crime prevention, and much more all tailored to the area where you live. If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s quick, easy, and completely free.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the Cyber and Fraud Hub for inviting us to take part, and to Abertay University for being such welcoming hosts. Events like this highlight the importance of partnership working and how valuable community engagement is in strengthening cyber resilience across Scotland.

With CyberScotland Week now underway, it’s the perfect time to explore the support and resources available to help you stay safe online.
