🚉 A great day at Glasgow Central Station

What an interesting place Glasgow Central is a constant flow of people commuting to work, travelling to meetings, college or university, heading off on journeys, or meeting up with family and friends from near and far. There’s always something happening!

We had a fantastic time joining CrimeStoppers and British Transport Police for an information event, speaking with so many of you throughout the day. It was a great opportunity to highlight what each of our organisations does, the support and information available, and how people can get involved with Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.

It was also really valuable to hear about the concerns people have in their communities. We were able to offer advice, share information and signpost people to organisations and services that could provide further help and support.

We also shared helpful information about the BT Digital Voice switchover, offering advice and signposting people to further support.

🏘️ We were particularly encouraged by the number of people who stopped to talk to us about joining or starting a Neighbourhood Watch in their own communities, as well as those interested in finding out more about Neighbourhood Alert.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Ray, who popped by with his owner. This little ray of sunshine certainly put a smile on our faces and brightened everyone’s day.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. Your questions, conversations and enthusiasm made the day so worthwhile.

And a very special thank you to CrimeStoppers for inviting us along, and to Network Rail for hosting us and for all your support throughout the day.

Working together, sharing information and connecting people with the right support can make such a difference to safer, stronger communities. 🏘️🤝
