About 9 News 9 🌟 Awakenings Festival Brings Communities Together

Neighbourhood Watch Scotland was proud to be part of the vibrant Awakenings Festival—celebrating community, connection, and collaboration.

🎉 A Day Full of Energy and Community Spirit

The Awakenings Festival delivered a fantastic day of entertainment, performances, and opportunities to connect. It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and engaging with organisations dedicated to supporting communities across Scotland.

💬 “It truly was a belter of a day, with something for everyone to enjoy.”

🤝 Stronger Together: Partner Organisations

We were delighted to work alongside a wide range of valued partners, including:

  • Falkirk & Clackmannanshire Carers Centre
  • Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership
  • Independent Living Association Forth Valley
  • Seagull Trust Cruises
  • Guide Dogs UK
  • Scottish ADA
  • Safe Base Scotland

Partnership working like this plays a vital role in building safer, more connected communities.

✨ Highlights from the Day

From exciting performances to special appearances by cast members of River City and Still Game, the festival atmosphere was fantastic throughout. Karen Dunbar also brought incredible energy with her lively DJ set, keeping spirits high.

🌟 Special Thanks to PSYV

A huge thank you to the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) for their outstanding support on the day.

Their positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment shone through—whether engaging with attendees, supporting event activities, or bringing smiles with their energy and creativity.

👏 Thank You

We would like to thank the organisers for hosting such an inclusive and well-run event, and everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
