Cover is in respect of volunteers carrying out work on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch.

Please note that for indemnity cover to be provided you must ensure that:
1. Your Neighbourhood Watch is registered with Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.
2. All volunteers and members involved in NWS activities are registered on the Alert database.
3. You inform NWS of the event and the nature of the activity taking place and that this is recorded on our log for official purposes at info@neighbourhoodwatchscotland.co.uk. You will receive confirmation from the office that this notification has been received.
The insurance policy will not apply if any of these requirements have not been met.
Cover:
Operative in respect of activities carried out on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch from the National level through to the Local Schemes. Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Attending meetings
- NHW Sign erection & maintenance
- Social & Fundraising Events – (Events are to be of an innocuous nature e.g. BBQ’s, Quiz Nights, Coffee Mornings, Car Boot Sales, etc. Higher Risk Events such as Firework Displays, White Water Rafting, Parachute Jumps,
- Abseiling, etc. fall outside the standard Policy cover. If your event is High Risk please contact us directly with details of your event. We can then contact our insurers directly for advice and confirm any additional costs.
Specific Exclusions:
- Motor vehicle windscreen etching
- Boat Watch
- House Watch
- Pet Watch
- Street Watch/Street Patrols
- Watches in respect of Commercial Operations e.g. Pub, Shop, etc.
- Product Liability cover in respect of second hand electrical goods.
