About 9 Alert 9 Volunteering Week – Call to action

Good afternoon, hope you are all enjoying this sunny weather.

Next week is volunteers Week, Neighbourhood Watch Scotland coordinators are one of the most active and impactful volunteering networks anywhere, as such we are looking to highlight and communicate what you contribute daily.  We will do this through our website, at events and through social media, throughout the week.

You play a vital role in bringing people together, building safer communities, and supporting local resilience. We would love to hear your story. Please share a short testimony about your volunteering experience, the difference you have made, or a moment that shows the value of your local Watch. Mention what why you volunteer and what impacts it has on you personally and to the folk you help. It doesn’t have to be earth shattering; we all know the power of random acts of kindness and support.

We will use your words (anonymously if you wish) to inspire others to get involved, celebrate the dedication of coordinators across Scotland, and highlight the real impact of community action. Whether your story is about partnership, prevention, or pride in your area, every voice matters. Send us your testimony and help showcase the power of volunteering in action.

Please don’t be shy, tell us about the great things you are doing. We love humility in Scotland but sometimes we are too quiet about the positive things in our communities!!

Thanks

Keith
