Good afternoon all,

Just making you all aware of an MO which has been used at one of the premises operated by one of the group. Calls have been received from a male called “Phil Daniels” who requests staff provide him with the 12 digit V5 code to check suitability for disability tax. 

This 12-digit code allows the person to tax the vehicle and produce a V5 in their name or another’s without owning it and additional fraudulent activity thereafter. It also prevents our business from selling the vehicle and transferring ownership to a “real” customer.

Thankfully there have been no crimes occurred in Dundee to date with this MO, but there have been attempts.
