retail Crime Task Force

About 9 Alert 9 retail Crime Task Force

Members of our #RetailCrimeTaskforce attended the Scottish Grocers’ Federation (SGF) Crime and Security Seminar in Edinburgh today.

While in attendance, the Taskforce heard of the challenges being faced by members of the retail sector in relation to the continued rise in shop thefts across the country, along with increasing levels of violence and abuse against retail staff.

Detective Chief Inspector Jackie Knight and Inspector Emma Wright from the Taskforce also gave a presentation on the work undertaken by the Taskforce over the past ten months to better support retailers and bring retail offenders to justice.

We are grateful for the opportunity to attend events like this and enhance our working relationship with key partners as we work together to tackle retail crime in all its forms.
