Unfortunately, there have two instances of livestock worrying reported in West Lothian in the last week.

 

On 9th of April, a dog was seen to worry livestock in a field near to Torphichen. The owner of the dog has since been traced, charged and relevant reports will be submitted.

 

About 1320 hours on 5th of April a Spaniel dog was seen to attack livestock in a field near to Guthrie’s Path, between Witchescraig and Beecraigs Country Park.

A reminder to dog owners that your dog is your responsibility.

 

Dog owners can face a fine of up to £40,000, disqualification from owning a dog or a 12 month custodial sentence for livestock worrying offences.
