Fraudulent bogus workmen.

About 9 Alert 9 Fraudulent bogus workmen.

Bogus workmen are taking advantage of unsuspecting individuals, offering unsolicited home repairs, maintenance, or services. Their goal? To steal your money, and sometimes worse. Here’s how to protect yourself and your loved ones:

Safety Tips:

1. Always verify: Ask for identification, licenses, and references. Legitimate workers will have no issue with this.

2. Get multiple quotes: Don’t settle for the first price—get at least 2 or 3 quotes to compare.

3. Trust your instincts: If something feels off, don’t hesitate to decline services and contact authorities.

4. No upfront payments: Never pay for services before the job is completed.

Contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact us form as well as reporting circumstances to Crimestoppers 0800 555 111
