This is a Cyber Alert as opposed the regular Cyberbyte – and its’ purpose is to raise immediate awareness.
Our colleagues within the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) have highlighted a significant rise in the number of online sexual extortion attempts reported to the SERS (Suspicious Email Reporting Service). The SERS is a service provided by the NCSC for the public to report scam emails, texts etc.
The alert carries additional awareness and sign posting to supporting guidance. Can I ask you to please share this alert with your own contacts, family, and friends.
