Good afternoon, Dunfermline.
As we approach Halloween, it is essential to prioritise safety and community wellbeing. This festive occasion should focus on enjoyment and treats rather than actions that may disturb our community. While participating in trick-or-treating, can I ask that you keep the following guidelines in mind:
Respect Homes and Properties; please be considerate of the residences you visit.
Avoid Loud and Intimidating Behaviour; ensure that your actions do not create an unsettling environment for others.
Stay Safe in Well Lit Areas; prioritise your safety by sticking to well illuminated locations.
Additionally, it is important to recognise that not every household may wish to participate in trick-or-treating. If you encounter a sign that reads “Sorry, no trick-or-treat here”, or no answer is forthcoming at a door, can I ask that you respect the wishes of that household and refrain from disturbing them further.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to making this Halloween a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone in our community.
PC Vincent Gieldon-Bruce.
