We are receiving regular reports of youths accessing the roofs of buildings in Alloa town centre. They are gaining access through scaling walls, or through insecure common close areas. Whilst on the roofs, they are removing roof tiles and throwing objects at the ground below.
This behaviour is extremely dangerous, not only for the youths themselves, but causing significant danger to members of the public walking below.
We have been working with local businesses and residential addresses, but please make all efforts to lock and secure common close areas, where easy access can be gained to roof spaces.
Also know where your children are at all times. The general age group of those we have traced so far is between 10-14years old. We require parental support to educate and supervise your children, to not engage in such dangerous and reckless actions.
We will continue patrolling this area and anyone found engaging in such activities, will be robustly dealt with.
