About 9 Alert 9 RECKLESS CONDUCT – YOUTHS SMASHING BUS WINDOWS – TILLICOULTRY/DEVONSIDE

Local Police are again investigating incidents involving youths targeting moving public transport busses, in the Tillicoultry/Devonside area, where stones and rocks are being thrown at moving busses, smashing the passenger windows.

This behaviour is extremely dangerous for the passengers in the bus, the driver and other road users, and has the potential for fatal consequences.

We will be increasing patrols in and around this area, but we require parental support.  Know where your children are and what they are doing.  Educate them regarding the consequences of engaging in such behaviour, and the repercussions of their actions.

We will be actively investigating these incidents and will be utilising all means to ensure the appropriate action is taken in relation to offenders.
