🌾 About the Dumfries Show
First held in 1962, the Dumfries Show is now the largest one-day agricultural show in Scotland. It celebrates the region’s rich farming heritage with:
- 🐄 Top-quality livestock: dairy, beef, and sheep
- 🐎 Extensive horse classes, BSJA affiliated and Blair Atholl qualifiers
- 🐐 Goat section with milking trials
- 🧀 Scotland’s only cheese competition outside the Highland Show
- 🌿 Home & garden industries, stick making, and crafts
- 🍽️ Food festival with cookery theatre
- 👩🌾 Young Farmers section
- 🛍️ Craft fair and trade stands
