Today the team travelled to Aberdeen to speak with people in the north east about Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and the forthcoming RTS (Radio Teleswitch Service) switch off, which is happening later this month, on 30th June.
The switch off will affect households that use an older electricity meter for heating their home and for hot water, with some types of electricity meters needing changed. We were able to pass on information and literature provided by E.ON Next to help reach the communities most likely to be affected, which will help to ensure that no one is left without heating or hot water when the switch off happens.
A big thank you to the staff at Asda, Aberdeen Beach Superstore, for making us so welcome and also to everyone who stopped by for a chat and to pick up leaflets, especially those who travelled in from outlying towns and villages. It was great to meet you.
