Dear {FIRST_NAME},
“RECKLESS CONDUCT – TULLIBODY ROAD, ALLOA, CLACKMANNANSHIRE”
About 1600hrs, Thursday 22nd May 2025, a driver suffered a punctured tyre after driving over a large rock, deliberately thrown onto the roadway by a group of youths. The incident occurred near to Lornshill Academy on Tullibody Road, Alloa during peak hours and was extremely busy with road users and pedestrians including other children. As a result, the driver, who was heavily pregnant and had a young child in the car at the time, was left understandably, very distressed by the incident.
Local Community officers quickly attended, providing assistance and helping to safely change the tyre to get the family back home and traffic uninterrupted.
Constable Kouassi of Clackmannanshire Community Policing said “We want to be clear, this type of reckless and dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated. Throwing objects onto a roadway poses a serious risk to public safety and can have devastating consequences. It is fortunate that in this incident, no persons were brought to any harm. We urge parents and guardians to remind their children of the very real dangers posed by this type of behaviour.
We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has any information or dash cam footage on their vehicles at the respective time, to contact Police directly on the below methods, or anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
