About 9 Alert 9 Rechargeable Batteries Safety

Rechargeable batteries are found in lots of household items such as mobile phones, laptops, e-bikes and e-scooters.

Think about where your device is plugged in. If a battery catches fire it could block your escape route.

And don’t recharge while you are asleep.

Batteries should never be placed in household waste.

If they get damaged they can cause a fire.

Check with your local authority for recycling guidelines.

As with all fires – get out, stay out and call 999.

Every Tuesday, you should ‘push the button’ to test your alarms. Keep yourself safe by making sure that your alarms are functioning.
