Neighbourhood Watch Scotland have had a fantastic time at the Carers Scotland event in Glasgow City Chambers today along with representatives from BT, helping to spread the word about the Digital Voice changeover and also how easy it is to set up a new watch and sign up to receive free and secure Neighbourhood Alert messages.
There were lots of different organisations providing information and support regarding unpaid carers in Scotland and the event was very well attended. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by for a chat and we hope you found the event helpful.
Please remember that that BT, EE and Plusnet customers will be moved to Digital Voice by January 2027. The old analogue phone network is being switched off and replaced with digital landlines that work using broadband. Please follow any guidance from your provider and take action when contacted to help avoid disruption to your service. And it’s important to check that any telecare alarms are digitally compatible too.
More information about the BT switchover can be found here;
Lastly, a big thank you to BT, Carers Scotland and also to the staff at Glasgow’s City Chambers. What a stunningly beautiful building, inside and out.
